Dr. Elinor Jackson, President and CEO

Dr. Elinor Jackson, President and CEO of Sanders Noland & Associates has been consulting in the areas of grant writing, contract bid responses, and organizational development for nearly three decades.  The clients have included units of local and county municipal governments, state and federal government agencies, school districts and colleges, social and human service agencies, hospitals, service associations, and Fortune 500 corporations.  She has assisted clients and workshop participants throughout the United States in receiving awards of more than $200 million.  She is the author of several grants-related publications, including Training Guide for the Development of Non-Profit Organizations (Fundraising, Grant writing and Grant Seeking) ™.  She serves as a federal discretionary grant reviewer and grants compliance consultant.  She taught Grant Writing Classes for the City of Houston Office of Affirmative Action and Contract Compliance Division for Small Businesses from 2007 – 2012.  In addition, she serves as a national training consultant with expertise in grant administration, nonprofit leadership, project management, community development, grants seeking and grants management.

Over the last three decades, Dr. Jackson has presented grant writing workshops at federal and regional conferences to help grantees successfully prepare for grant competitions.  She has used the opportunities presented by her work at Sanders Noland & Associates to bring grassroots groups and community-based organizations to the large nonprofits, foundations and government agencies that engage her firm, and ensuring that they become part of large collaborative proposals and projects.  She received a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University, completing a double major in education and science.  She went on to graduate work in education, completing a master’s degree at the University of Phoenix followed by an Ed.D from the University of Phoenix.

 

John T. Pitre, Director of Marketing

John has over 30 years experience in Sales & Marketing Management, Organizational Sponsorship and Fundraising, Real Estate Development, Construction Management and the Mortgage Industry. Through the years, he has developed a keen eye for unique business opportunities and the ability to develop quality business plans and develop management teams to take advantage of these opportunities. Mr. Pitre will be able to assist in various areas of Organizational Development for our clients based on his proven track record in many disciplines. John has been named to the Board of Directors of VGB Investment LLC June, 2008 and was voted on to the Board of The US-China Federal Association of Business Councils the same year.

Mr. Pitre’s passion and commitment for helping existing and aspiring small business owners, coaching them through the process of developing and growing their businesses will be evident if you have the need to have him consult with you. He is committed to educating business owners by helping them structure their business so they can effectively create a solid foundation to build on.

 

Yolanda I. Rodriguez

Yolanda was the early childhood education director for eleven years for Migrant Head Start in Laredo, Texas. She has been involved in various professional organizations and has taught courses as adjunct professor at Texas A& M International University in Laredo, Texas. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master’s of Science in Bilingual Education from Laredo State University (now Texas A&M International University). Additionally, she has obtained nine hours of course work towards a doctoral degree in early childhood development.

Prior to joining Head Start she served as a school administrator for the school system in Laredo, Texas. She served in the capacity of bilingual bi-cultural director, principal and assistant principal. She currently is an independent consultant providing training to Head Start programs and school districts through -out south Texas.

 

Von H. Langston

Von has served Head Start for over 30 years in the capacity of assistant director, homebound teacher, educational coordinator, disabilities coordinator, director, and private consultant. Twenty of these years, he served as Head Start Program director at Carteret Community Action, Inc. During his tenure, he was instrumental in moving a one county, 95 children program with a $150,000 budget to a four county program with over 800 children and a 5 million dollar budget. He has been selected nationally as one of the legendary men serving in the field of Early Childhood Education by OMEP-US National Committee in Region III. He is also certified and listed in the National Head Start Consultant Directory.
Mr. Langston specializes in administrative, program design management, organizational and grant development for public schools, child care, Head Start/Early Head Start, and Migrant Head Start Programs across the nation. He also has served as a national Head Start reviewer, and is still a National Grant reviewer. He is a graduate of North Carolina A. & T. State University, where he received a Bachelor of Science and Master Degree in Education. He also attended UCLA School of Business as a Johnson & Johnson Fellow. In addition, Mr. Langston has studied and done extensive work in early childhood education. He has served two terms as the president of the North Carolina Head Start Association.

 

Edward Vaughn III

Edward is a management consultant with over 30 years Federal and private experience in administering and developing Head Start programs.  As the former Director EOA, Savannah- Chatham County, Training & Technical Specialist, Dept. Health & Human Service Region  IV and Senior Training Officer, Atlanta University, Ed has in-depth knowledge in Head Start’s numerous rules, regulations and interpretations and now assists numerous agencies to achieve sustainable, program compliance. He has conducted over 150 Federal reviews, dozens of individual self-assessments, and provided extensive management training at conferences and workshops for directors, managers, and governing bodies.  Ed holds a Masters Degree from New York University –Human Relations, and a Bachelors of Science from South Carolina State College.
